- Each smashed burger smashes well whe it is made into a 60-70g ball
Spices – a sprinkling of the following into you mince
- Turmeric
- Ground coriander and Cumin
- Maniben’s Family Garam Masala
- Chilli Powder
- Garlic Powder
- Salt & Pepper

- Diced Onion
- Chopped tomato
- Shredded Lettuce
- Handful of fresh chopped coriander
- Cheese of your choice ( I used grated Red Leicester)
- Doritos Chips for crunchiness (optional)
Sauces of your Choice ( I used)
- Homemade Green Coriander masala (Recipe here)
- Tamarind Sauce / Paste – You can buy this from most supermarkets now.
Other Stuff
- Large Frying Pan
- Large Tandoori Naan cut to size
- A bowl to smash your burger (unless you’ve got a Pro smasher thingy!)
- Yoghurt Raita to dip into
How we smashed these burgers – Simple Steps to guide you
- Mix all your spices into you mince and split in half and roll into 2 balls
- Chop up all your other toppings that will go into your wraps in prep as these smashed burgers cook v quickly
- Make your Yoghurt Raita by grating ¼ of a cucumber and squeezing all the water out if it. Mix with 3-4 large tablespoons of yoghurt, salt & Pepper and teaspoon of grd cumin – Put in Fridge while you smash your burgers.
- Heat a little oil in your frying pan until its hot and starting to smoke.
- Add your two marinated spiced mince balls into the pan and smash (flatten) with the back of a bowl if you don’t have a smasher utensil – like the pro’s
- Cook on each side for 1-2 mins. Remove from the pan add cheese on top of one smashed burger and then put the other hot smashed burger on top.
- Cut your Large Tandoori Naan to required size add into the pan so it absorbs and sucks up all the burger juices for a min
- Flip over and smother with your Green Coriander Magic masala, add your smashed burgers back in then layer with your toppings and drizzle with Tamarind Sauce.
- Flip your Naan over in half and press down firmly for a min or two. So your Naan is softened and starting to go crispy on the edges
