Spiced Up Salmon en Croute Recipe

Our Spiced Up twist on an old Classic.

It really is a great crowd pleaser and so easy, quick & super tasty.

Get Spiced Up and give it a go!


  • 2 salmon Steaks
  • 1/2 bag of spinach shredded or use the whole bag and with the leftovers create a veggie Spinach / Feta parcel
  • Half a small onion diced
  • Chilli/Ginger/garlic paste (Whizz all of the below into a paste)
    • 2-4 fresh green chillies (depends on ow hot your chillies are and how hot you like your curry!)
    • 2-3 cloves of garlic
    • 1  small thumb of ginger
  • Table spoon of Oil
  • Small Block of Feta Cheese

Spices Mix – Dry’ish Rub for the Salmon Steaks

  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tsp’s of Ground Cumin
  • 1 tsps of salt
  • ½ – 1 tsp of red chilli powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp of Maniben’s Family Garam Masala
  • Squeeze of lemon

Instructions – How to….

  1. Remove any skin from your Salmon Steaks and dry rub with the above Spice Mix, Lemon and a little oil – Set aside while you chop and cook your spinach
  2. Shred the Spinach & ice half a small onion
  3. Heat oil in small frying pan, Add cumin seeds, then your onion for a min, add in the Chill, Garlic Ginger paste, cook for 30 secs add in your Spinach, Salt & pepper, Tumeric, Grd Cori/Cumin & Garam masala. Until spinach is wilted. Remove and cool down
  4. Dice up your Feta into small cubes and add to your Spinach and mix, leave to cool
  5. Roll out Puff Pastry
  6. Layer in you marinated Salmon, Spiced Spinach & Feta mix, cover with the other cut out puff pastry lid, brush edges with egg wash and fork down the edges, and a pattern of your choice on the top, sprinkle of cumin seeds and egg wash the top.
  7. Into the oven for approx. 25 mins @ 200 degrees
  8. Serve with….wedge of lemon and Green Coriander masala Chutney
