Spiced Up Tomato & Vodka Pasta Sauce

Our take on Gigi Hadids Viral recipe!

We make this tomato pasta sauce most weeks anyway – Its now got Vodka in it!


  • Approx 600g of tomatoes – I like to use baby plum toms
  • 4-5 Garlic Cloves (don’t need to peel, throw in whole)
  • 1 whole Large Red Chilli
  • 1 Red Pepper – Cubed
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Few Glugs of Olive Oil
  • Large Shot of Vodka! (And one for the tomato sauce too!)


  1. Throw everything into a heated and oiled roasting tray (except the Vodka) and get into the oven at 180- degrees for approx. 30 mins – mixing half way through
  2. Once all roasted, Squeeze out the soft garlic from the skins, chop up the red chilli & throw everything into the whizzer with some Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the Shot of Vodka.
  3. You can sieve the whizzed up sauce if you want to make it extra smooth?
  4. Heat up the sauce in a saucepan, just to burn off the alcohol from the Vodka
  5. Now its ready to add your pasta of choice with some fresh basil and parmesan or my current fave grated mozzarella/red Leicester chilli mix (which you can get from your high street supermarkets)
