Healthy Herbal Spiced Tea
This Healthy Herbal Spiced Tea is really aromatic, aids indigestion, strengthens the nervous system and gives you energy. It can support joint health, gut health and even mental health. Also a great preventative measure for colds, flu and allergies. I drink it everyday and very rarely get colds and energises me through the day too.
Make a big pot and give it a go. I hope you enjoy it! Let me know how it goes!

Ingredients / Spices
- Approx 10-15 whole cloves
Approx 15-20 black peppercorns
1-2 sticks of cinnamon
15-20 whole cardamon pods (split the pods first)
10-12 slices of Ginger, don’t need to peel - 1-2 teaspoon of loose black tea, or a teabag
- Approx 3 pints / 1.5 Litres of Water
You’ll also need
- A strainer
- Large Pot to boil up the water, ginger, spices & tea
- A teapot or another pan with lid to store your tea after it has been boiled and strained.
- Patience & Love
Method
- Boil the water in the pan and add the Ginger and all the spices. Don’t forget to crush the cardamom pods.
- Bring back to the boil and then lower to a simmer and put the lid on and leave for 30-40 mins
- Add the loose black tea or a tea bag and simmer for another 10-15 mins with the lid back on
- Then pour through a strainer into your teapot, suggest to do this over a sink as its boiling hot and can go everywhere if your not careful!!
- I usually drink it hot. You can have it with milk or an alternative like soya or Almond Milk and/or honey if you want to sweeten it, totally up to you.
