MySpice Tin Sardines
This is such a quick, easy, tasty, healthy and cheap recipe with minimal washing up
It’s a One Tin Wonder!! You make it all in the Sardine Tin!
Ticks all the boxes – if you like sardines that is!
One of my Go-to’s if I’m in a rush.
You can freestyle this with whatever you have in the cupboards and fridge too, to add into your Tinned Sardines
Have fun with your flavours and Enjoy getting Spiced Up!
Ingredients
- Tin of Sardines in tomato sauce
- 1 clove of garlic finely diced/crushed (per tin)
- Teaspoon of chopped Coriander
- 2-3 mini Mozzarella balls
- Drizzle of Tamarind sauce once cooked
Spices
- Sprinkle of the following
- Garam Masala (we use Maniben’s Family Garam Masala)
- Grd Coriander/Cumin
- Turmeric
- Red Chilli powder
- Salt & black pepper
Instructions
- Finely dice/crush your Garlic clove & shred your fresh coriander
- Open your tin of Sardines and pour out some of the Tomato sauce from the tin into a bowl, save for later
- Break up the Sardines in your tin
- Add in your Garlic, spices and chopped coriander and mix it all up in the tin, carefully not to spill it though. You can then add back in some of your tomato sauce that you drained earlier.
- Break up a couple of your mini mozzarella balls and spread across the top and sprinkle with some more of your red chilli powder (I like to use Kashmiri chilli powder)
- Into either an Air fryer or oven for approx. 5mins until the mini Mozzarella is melted and brown on top.
- Drizzle with some Tamarind sauce and more chopped coriander to garnish and eat straight from the tin with some hot buttered Naan to dip into the Spiced Up Sardines.
Once finished chuck your empty sardine tin in the bin!!
